Event Reminders

To make your LAN more enjoyable

Critical Reminders

Staying up to date with contests, tournaments, and announcements.

All tournaments and contests are linked on the    Next Event page.

PDXLAN will primarily rely on the PDXLAN Discord server for announcements. Please set your mobile device to notify you when an announcement is made in the announcements channel. If done properly, you can receive important announcements anywhere you have your phone.

Please note: Announcements and presentations made on the microphone are for the stage area, not the room. We know not everyone can hear them—that’s by design.

Prepare for temperature swings and plan in advance

DRESS IN LAYERS – The room can vary in temperature from location to location. There are cold areas, and warm areas – and that may shift when we turn on the HVAC to bring in fresh air. PREPARE Accordingly. It is impossible to make everyone comfortable, so be prepared for both HOT and COLD.

Again we will try our best with the temperature, but we  CAN NOT make everyone comfortable, it is impossible.  Please plan accordingly. We have literally had one person come up to the staff and say they are too hot, and a minute later another person say they are too cold. The temps in the room aren’t the same in all sections of the room, and we are trying to achieve balance best we can.

Important Reminders

Contacting the Help Desk

You can contact the Help-Desk YEAR ROUND on Discord! Just go to the PDXLAN discord server and navigate to the  “event-questions” channel.

Help desk is for all issues related to the event only.  It is not a technical assistance for non-LAN issues. For that, we recommend #pc-building or #general.

That said, if you have problems that are too sensitive for Discord, feel free to come up to us in person and let us know at the LAN.

Don't Forget your waiver
