Apex Legends LAN party?
Apex Legends LAN party?
Is this something people would be interested in? Free to play and if I can get ahold of them to properly host a LAN, it would be pretty awesome

Re: Apex Legends LAN party?
As a quick update to this idea. Instead of an ACTUAL LAN with servers etc.
What makes more sense logistically is a website that tracks your kills/placement in pub matches.

This is what I was thinking: https://help.toornament.com/disciplines ... tournament
Something along those lines that teams of 3 can submit their scores in say an hour or two of gameplay. Would be a fun idea! I think we would have alot of people interested!

Hell yeah. I don't think theres an actual way to LAN up Apex, but using this way it's still a way that the peeps at the lan can group together and play 'against' each other so to speak.Aztexx wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2019 1:05 pmAs a quick update to this idea. Instead of an ACTUAL LAN with servers etc.

Re: Apex Legends LAN party?
Just to follow up on this -
Assuming Apex is 100 players... Is there a way for 33 groups of 3 people to all group up?
Not sure what player count is on servers, but it is irrelevant to try for any kind of official contest if not all groups can guaranteed be together, AND not have public in the match. To my knowledge APEX does not give us that capability?

^
There are 60 players in each game. Unfortunately I don't believe there is any true LAN or server support for Apex at this time at least that they will give us tools for to host locally. I have reached out, but haven't gotten any response on it.

Here is the format I was envisioning:
-Sign up with Squads of 3 (that is the max per group)
-Play in the public matchmaking system for an allotted amount of time (60min, most games last between 5-15min)
-Scoring would be based on kills for your squad and placement
Kill = 1 point
4th/5th = 3 points
2nd/3rd = 5 points
Win = 10 points
After each game, 1 designated person from the squad submits the screenshot to whoever is in running the bracket.
My thought process behind the scoring is that it's relatively hard to win a BR game consistently and it can be time-consuming to actually secure the win rather than just drop in a hot area and go for kills over and over.
This can be refined and changed, but I think it could work!
