Suggestion/feedback for the forums

This is for Matt/Spork/whoever else is in charge around here.

Apparently my bookmark for PDXLAN is taking me to the old version of the website: www.pdxlan.net/home and on there the forums link takes you to the old forums. Not sure why that was my bookmark but I just changed it. Just wanted to let you guys know.

Also I can't find an option to "mark all threads read" like we had on the old forums. Is it already a thing and I'm just missing it? If not, is it a thing that can be done?

Anddd as I was posting this I found it. "Quick links" up top left. Good to know if anyone else is looking for that!

Bookmarks will do that, because both websites, and both forums, exist on different URLs.

If you bookmark the top level domain http://www.pdxlan.net/ it will redirect you to the new site http://www.pdxlan.net/LAN

Regarding the forums, you can bookmark the new web address http://pdxlan.net/discussion/

Your old bookmarks will continue to take you to the old sites until Vector takes them offline. Note that there is a link to the Old Forums on the bottom of the new forum’s main page (forum index) http://www.pdxlan.net/forums/

Hope that helps
:)

I am leaving the old forums up - mainly because there is a lot of stuff in there that can't be migrated nicely here.

Also there is a mark all forums read under the menu above.

Screenshot included.

Thank you for the picture Matt! It helps us visual learners to figure out things. And I never realized that the "quick links" button was a menu. Mostly because I hadn't tried it. x_x
