Very nice! You can probably get a good monitor+vid card for that 😜
Umm, I wouldn't have a clue where to start on that...and a friend gave it to me so it seems rude to turn around and sell it?
I`m sure that if you field a request for trade that some combos will come up that you'd like. But totally understandable that you want to keep it (it's a sweeet card!) since it was given to you.

Oh no. I bought the card. That's not going ANYWHERE. My friend gave me the motherboard/CPU/RAM that I'm currently running through.

ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q
Absolutely love it.
TFT Central is your friend, FYI.
I'll upgrade to 4k when a single GPU can handle it at frames I require.

They perform exaustive testing on virtually every monitor. They even provide color profiles and information on getting the most out of your monitor. The link I provided was to their analysis of the monitor I use.

Very nice, I'll have to check them out when I'm in the market for a new monitor :) Appreciate it!

Someone above posted that G-Sync doesn't do much. While all of theses posts are subjective, I would say he is mistaken. My system can push almost any game at max settings well beyond 60 fps and G-Sync still makes a visible difference.

Dell S2716DG 1440p 144hz G-Sync. Been on sale for $400 quite a bit recently.
Funny, a friend of mine recommended that one just now :D He wants me to upgrade the monitor BEFORE I upgrade to a current-gen system... Currently running an Asus Gryphon Z87 with Thermal Armor with a i5 4670k with a Titan XP (Yes, I know) :)
FYI on sale for $380 at BB right now: https://slickdeals.net/f/11864695-dell- ... onitor-380

IMHO do the monitor before the mobo/cpu.

Coming from a 34 non gsync 60 hz IPS to my Asus PG27VQ 165hz with gsync I can say its a huge difference. Even though its a TN panel it looks amazing! You just have to calibrate it correctly to start off then it look amazing. I run all my games at max and get well over 100fps. With 165hz I can run gsync and forget about it. 0 tearing and the response is amazing. Best monitor I have ever used.

Afraid I missed the notice but thank you for looking out, I'll have to check the forums more often! I won the mobo and am getting the CPU for a very, very good deal so it's much cheaper than any monitor :D
