I was specifically looking at the "Dark" version which doesn't appear to be available yet. But it looks like they made the power connectors on the motherboard facing horizontal off the edge, which I LOVE. Has this already been done by other manufacturers? Also it looks like a lot of the Z390 boards have built in Wi-Fi now, not sure why you need that for a desktop motherboard but well there you are. Ahhh I remember the days of yesteryear when you wouldn't dare game over Wi-Fi lol. Any other thoughts on the new Z390 boards? It is one of the boards I'm looking to pair with an i9 9900k

For those boards that are vertical there are right angle adapters. Bill Owen sells them and I've seen them on Amazon too.

I don't know about you guys, but to me it seems like it takes a lot of pressure to plug in/out the 24-pin power connector into the mobo. I would think facing up is better than facing the side because of this. Aesthetically it is nicer to have it facing the side for sure.

In that respect I suppose the adapters are the best of both worlds. You can plug your PSU into the adapter and then press the adapter into the board straight on. But I'd say you should be supporting the board with a 2nd hand whenever you are connecting or disconnecting anyway. Letting the board flex isn't good for longevity.

I'm waiting for these to become available again:

I'd get the right angle adapter for the 24-pin, and look for more for the other power connectors on the board.
