Help Finding Gaming Chair

Post by sirjakeyjake » Sat Jun 06, 2020 12:38 pm

Hey folks. So...gaming chairs, am I right? Well, I'm currently using an office chair with a failing cylinder (or sometimes an old camping chair). I must replace.

Brands? I've heard nothing but good about AKRACING. Also, Vertagear is a long-time sponsor of PDXLAN, so I thought there.
Budget? $300-400. Really trying to keep it closer to $300. Still, I'm right at 300lbs, (and losing), so I feel stuck between price- and quality-points.
Features? I just want it sturdy. The lumbar support is great. Everything else is just bonus.

Expectations? It seems like the price-points work out to about $100/warranty years. Is that a good metric? Maybe I need to buy cheap and save longer? (As long as it's rated for 300lbs.)

Thank you, Community, for your help!

I bought a breathable mesh ergo chair from Staples which has worked fine but I'm around 200. Just make sure if you buy online that there is a good return policy in case you dislike it.
At a bus station, a bus stops. At a train station, a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station.

Thank you. That's a good point, always. :)

I found an AKRACING Core EX-Wide ($349) available for shipping (free), then a 30% off coupon (thank you Rakuten). Rated at 330lbs, 5/10 year warranty on chair/frame. It should be here next week.
