Re: New eVGA Z390 Motherboard

For those boards that are vertical there are right angle adapters. Bill Owen sells them and I've seen them on Amazon too. These are new from CM http://www.coolermaster.com/powersupply/power-supply-adapter/90-degree-adapter/ I don't know about you guys, but to me it seems like it takes a lot of pres...

Re: Audio at 100% but still quiet.

Did you plug the headset into the Front 3.5mm headphones jack, or are you using one of the ones in the back?

If using the front, have you tried using the back "green" port?
If using the back, make sure you are using the "green" port.

Does it behave the same way with speakers VS a headset?
Is your headset USB or 3.5mm?

Re: Fallout 4 woes

I finally got a little time to play tonight and got this resolved. Looks like you guys were right. I disabled Discord, Razer Synapse, Battle.net, Origin, Corsair LINK, and GeForce Experience. Not sure which one was the culprit, but I was then able to play uninterrupted for about 2 hours until I stop...

Re: Anyone using a radeon r9 295x2 for gaming

Even back when it was a current model I only remember 1 person at the LAN running this card. This is just from me walking around looking at the rigs. So not overly scientific. All-in-all it's a pretty rare card. Wouldn't the performance be the same as two 290X cards in CrossFire? That's probably a l...

Re: Asus 24" dead monitor

It wont power on at all. Nothing no matter what I hook it up to. I dislike losing gear. Now all I have is my phone. I was going to support my build and holidays off senior pictures. My wife and I spent 4 hours on a shoot today and now I cant deliver anything. I am about to rage on this monitor with...

Re: Intake fans needed?

My knee jerk reaction is “YES YOU NEED INTAKE FANS!”. But as I breathe, and think about it, since all will be water cooled, and have good exhaust (which is the most important), I would give it a try. Monitor your temps, and add the fans if you see your temps higher than what you would like. You coul...

Bookmarks will do that, because both websites, and both forums, exist on different URLs. If you bookmark the top level domain http://www.pdxlan.net/ it will redirect you to the new site http://www.pdxlan.net/LAN Regarding the forums, you can bookmark the new web address http://pdxlan.net/discussion/...

Re: RIP CaseLabs :(

www.mountainmods.com is still open for business.... My recent personal experience with them: I recently used their web form to inquire about the dimensions of one of their custom-made products, to make sure it would fit in the custom mod I'm working on, and never heard back. This coupled with their...

I haven't built specifically in those cases, but have worked in a Fractal Design Case. I can tell you I was genuinely blown away while working in a Fractal case for the first time, at how well thought out everything was, and by the high quality of the materials and the case itself. I really can't re...

Re: Fallout 4 woes

How far you want to go is up to you but yes I would start with Origin, Corsair Link, PrecisionX, GPUz, etc. If it didn't come with Windows and you don't need it to run the game I would close it. The likelihood that Origin would cause a game to crash is pretty low but you'll kick yourself if you spe...

Stock clocks? Disabled background processes? Yup, all stock, no OC. Not sure what you mean by this "Disabled background processes?" Do you mean turning off all the apps running in the background? Like Origin, Corsair Link, etc. Do you also mean opening up Services and stopping anything I'm not curr...

Do you have multiple monitors plugged in? For some games on older engines I had to use only one monitor to get the game to run correctly.
I had never heard of that, but I only have a single monitor on my gaming machine.
